Driver Volunteer
Volunteer Drivers are crucial to the delivery of HERIB's support to local people with sight loss
Mobility is one of the biggest problems faced by people with visual impairments so our volunteer drivers play a critical role in HERIB’s services.
Minibus Driver
Providing transport to and from our Day Groups by minibus for our clients is a vital part of HERIB’s work.
As well as driving a minibus to collect and drop off clients from their homes to our day Groups, you will be required to assist HERIB staff.
You will:
- Need good people skills
- Be over 25 years of age
- Hold a cleaning driving licence
- Be required to undertake a short test drive
Resource Bus Driver
Our Mobile Resource Bus provides support across East Yorkshire to those people who cannot visit our Resource Centre in Hull.
It has a wide selection of equipment on display to help those with sight problems ranging from computers to daily living aids. It also acts as an advice, information and education centre.
You will:
- Need good people skills
- Be over 25 years of age
- Hold a cleaning driving licence
- Be required to undertake a short test drive
- Be given training on equipment
