Fundraising
All of the services described on this website are funded almost exclusively through generous public donation. The Board of Management and staff thank you for giving to HERIB.
We maximise all eligible donations by claiming Gift Aid from the Inland Revenue.
We have been offering help and support for over 140 years and during that time we have gathered some reserves from legacies and with the interest from our investments and the undying efforts of the Fundraising team, we try to bring in enough money each year to provide the valuable services so much appreciated by those with sight loss in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Not all the help we need is in a financial form. Often we need a helping hand for a day group or someone to serve cups of tea at the annual exhibition. Volunteers are an essential part of delivering our services and fundraising.

HERIB is also looking for people to act as Fundraising Ambassadors, to organise events that will raise funds and awareness of the work we do. We can support you in holding an event like a dinner dance or comedy night, or encouraging friends, family or work colleagues to take part in one of our challenges.

HERIB has 3 rooms available to hire for events or meetings and we can also provide you with refreshments and a light lunch if required. Please take a look at our services page and see the facilities we offer.
