National Occupational Standards

HERIB are working towards the new National Occupational Standards for Visual Impairment. These are a set of standards that have been written for people working with those with sight loss. They are relevant to what we do and link well and compliment the National Occupational Standards our Social Work Students work towards.

Students on their Social Work Degree

HERIB offers placements to students from Hull and Lincoln University who are studying for their degree in Social Work. Both *PLO1 and *PLO2 can be offered with a work based assessor and supervisor on hand to help them through their time at HERIB.

*PLO: Placement Learning Opportunity.
